Why would it ruin your rep? Is he a loser? If you really like this dude, it shouldn't matter what other people think. What's going to make your more happier keeping your "rep" or potentially being happy with this guy? You guys could just date without it being serious, and it shouldn't be that big of a deal to others. Ultimately it's up to if you're going to let other people dictate your life and your decisions.

More things like that keep happening, you have discovered him and he has discovered you, destiny made you find each other,please ignore rep and go for your joy.Tell me rep without happiness is nothing, when you not with the person that make you happy all because of rep those people you are avoiding not to talk about you will still do.A guy that fits your rep and bully you.Please go for that guy and don't be shy if you really liked him.

if you really like him you shouldnt care about the type of reputation that you may have. you should atleats give him an opportunity and get to know him and find out you guys make a good cuple.

you do what makes you happy. don't worry about what every one else thinks and if you friends don't like it then they aren't your friends anyway they should want you to be happy and not judge you and if its people that are not your friends then why worry about what they think?
