Just moved into the house 18 months ago, and had to buy a new fridge 1 month later, and then bought a chest freezer about 5 months after that... So, I'd say about 12 - 15 months.

Nothing "lives" in my freezer. However, the oldest items taking up space in my freeer ar 2 small cornish hens. Thanks for reminding me I really need to toss those. Been in there about 2 1/2 years.

That's a tough one. I'm tossed between the smoked salmon from a year and a half ago, and a bag of frozen strawberries.
I figure if I can't remember buying it, it must be the oldest.

My brother gave me a piece of moose he shot about 3 years ago. haven't cooked it,haven't tossed it . its just a little brown wrapped lump that i balance frozen waffles on
