Yes, we were 25, 30 at those years, we are now 35, 40,,,,he says he did a terrible mistake, he is not asking me to be together, but I sense he is getting closer little by little, he wants to prove me that he has really got into his unconsciousness, and understood why was so overwhelming to love me at those days, to much a confrontation for him,,,

He sounds like he has come a long way in 10 years. There is a big difference betweeen 25 & 35.
If he is going to therapy, then he is seriously trying to change.
You never know, maybe your timing wasn't right......maybe you guys are meant to be together.....you will never know until you try.
Assuming you are not dating anyone else, I would give him another chance. Just be cautious & go slow. Good luck!

The fact is you broke up for a reason and maybe those reasons have changed, but feelings also change. You may have feelings yet ,but somehow they are different than what they were. You may even worry that the reasons you broke up may resurface . I think a past relationship is like going back for seconds . You know you shouldn't because it is bad for you ,but you just can't resist the temptation.

I agree...NO...it won't work...people can change...but usually, old bad habits will re-surface....true colors always come forward..eventually. Usually, the "memories" of how you felt about him will be different than the reality....you've moved on...keep going forward...going "backwards" is useless and counter-productive....if you have both matured..(you didn't say how old you are or were when in this relationship..and yes, that matters)..you most likely will find you have grown in different directions....save your heart for someone who will love you for YOU.
