Every time I (an Englishman) go there all I get is 'You have to pay into Wales, don't you?! hehe! It's free to get into England though, isn't it?!'
Like that's a boast!
I tell you what. The reason there's no payment to get into England is that with the number of people LEAVING Wales, there's not a gate in the world that could stop them! If you look in the hedgerows coming out of Wales, they're full of £5 notes! People are throwing them out of the car windows and screaming 'Let me out! Let me out!'

Very funny! I am from Wales living in Australia and to be honest i didnt think that we were proud of the fact at all maybe you are jelous of the welsh and wish you were from there

:O:O Totally unfair! Im welsh, and I've never heard of anyone being proud of having to pay to get into Wales! It's not really because your paying to get into Wales though, it's money for the maintenance of the bridge! Welsh people have to pay it too you know. Wales can't be that bad if welsh people leave for free... and we actually pay to come back! x

Oh don't be silly...what about all these second homes you English are buying in the Welsh heartland which you come to every summer and bank holiday?
All you do is winge that there is Welsh on the roadsigns..diddums.
All I can say is "Thank God for Snowdon."...it kills dozens of you basta*ds every year.

Bear in mind that if a Welshman is travelling back home from England via the Severn Bridge, HE has to pay to get back ! ! !

Go into Wales via Shrewsbury....I don't recall any bridge or any tolls.
