That's such an interesting question..And.It's a beautiful way of thinking about life. Yes, now that I think about things that way...I can see that. A girl that I work with, her son talks of a past life, She believes him and listens to what he has to say. But to think that our passions come from a past life is what is really interesting to me, I have never thought of life this way and I think about my passions that I have now and I do believe that maybe in a past life I was a peasant girl. I know that sounds strange...but it's a very strong feeling that I have. My passion...strangely enough is horses, all creatures actually but especially farm animals. I had horses for a while and I miss them and think of them everyday. I know this is strange but your question really made me think....thanks!!!!

I know it appears to be the only logical explanation, but there are many arguments against it.
There are many problems with the salvation-by works doctrine of reincarnation. First, there are many practical problems. For example:
1. We must ask, why does one get punished for something he or she cannot remember having done in a previous life?
2. If the purpose of karma is to rid humanity of its selfish desires, then why hasn't there been a noticeable improvement in human nature after all the millennia of reincarnations?
3. If reincarnation and the law of karma are so beneficial on a practical level, then how do advocates of this doctrine explain the immense and ever-worsening social and economic problems - including widespread poverty, starvation, disease, and horrible suffering - in India, where reincarnation has been systematically taught through out its history?
There are also many biblical problems with believing in reincarnation. For example, in 2 Corinthians 5:8 the apostle Paul states, "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." At death, the, the Christian immediately goes into the presence of the Lord, not into another body. In keeping with this. Luke 16:19-31 tells us that unbelievers at death go to a place of suffering, not into another body.
Further, Hebrews 9:27 assures us that "man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment." Each human being LIVES ONCE as a mortal on earth, DIES ONCE, and then FACES JUDGMENT. He does not have a second chance by reincarnating into another body.

Kids grasp a lot; no matter what age.
they are little people with active, highly imaginative, intelligent yet a naive brain.and their thoughts go bizarre from our point of view but must be very sane to the kids of similar age.as it has always thought that kids; before there actual speech; which we teach them ,they have there on vocabulary and dialect.you might have heard that now-a-days kids are being taught sign language so that they can or i should rather say we can communicate with them.
don't take so seriously; but don't support him either.when he start talking about such things try to divert him with games or puzzles or talk about stuff he would want for dinner, etc.
Don't worry he'll be fine.GOD BLESS YOU.

Yes definantly, i draw foxes a lot, and many of my friends said they knew me as a fox in a past life. I also stared at a tasmanian tiger in a museum, long after other people have moved on to other exhibits.......
Please ignore the christian fundamentalists, they werent brought up right, thier parents didnt teach them tact and manners, just how to be a spoiled brat.

Kids have active imaginations its very cute. Take him to an SCA chapter if he retains his interest into middle school. Knights didn't usually live in castles though, so this is not a case of past life memories.

Desires and fears stay with us. Like a fear of water because someone drowned! I had a birthmark on my back. Looked like a puncture wound from a double edged knife.
I had a past-life exprience as an adult where I was protecting my wife from outlaws, and they grabbed me and stabbed me in the Back! I remembered the birt mark, and when I looked for it. It was Gone!

No. The Word of God states that it is appointed to all men to die once. Reincarnation does not happen. You get one chance at life to get it right. There are no 'past' lives.

Your son has not had a past life.
Neither have you.
Neither have I.
That's what the good book says.
Why can't his love of medieval matters simply be an interest he has?
If it is more than that, I'd be concerned that 'demons' might be toying with you all.

There are no such things as past lives. When we die, we do not get reincarnated. When we die, we are judged by God and either sent to heaven or hell. Your son sounds very imaginative, and probably saw something about knights or heard something about them. My son is six and he is very imaginative, too. You are reading too much into this.
