I've killed my neighbours dog, what should i do? It wasn't an accident but now i feel bad!

It's not like i chased it around with an axe or anything! It was biting at my legs as i cycled past and i kicked it! Sadly i live on a narrow country lane with a steep banking and the dog fell down this and lay lifeless at the bottom! Why do people assume i just don't like dogs i have three myself?

I really tend to say I don't believe a word of it. You're just a wind-up merchant. If not, I hope the dog's owner deals with you appropriately.

Kicking at an animal is never a correct response, you should take a self check on that reaction.

Was the dog on his own property, if so you owe a great apology, a offer to pay for whatever way the owner wants to take care of his dog.

disposal is a poor term to use. Do you dispose of peoples bodies, in such unfeeling terms?

A letter of apology might be better, since your people skills, seem limited.

An offer of a new pup, would be appropriate.
Hope you never kick as a reprimend for your 3 dogs.

Think before you approach this subject, a little remorse and self reflection, might be in order.
You were the more intelligent animal in this scenario, so accept your amount of responsibility for the situaiton, and your poor response.

What is done is done, what did you learn, what could you have done differently so as not to repeat. Now forget you and make the pets owners feelings the priority, he just lost something that is not replaceable....

Where for goodness sake is the dog now ???????????
Please do not tell me you have left it.You should have got off your bike and gone to see if you could do anything, it may not have been dead, it could just have been unconcious.
You should have then bought the dog back and called or visited the owners, or a vet.
Seeing as you have three dogs yourself, how would you like it if one of your dogs did not come home, would you be worrying ???? I know I would be climbing up the wall !!!!!.You have to live with yourself, I hope you do the decent thing.
I am glad I am not your neighbour.
That is if you are not a wind up merchant ,we do not need this

FIRST I have to say y would you kill someones pet? You had no right. If the dog was irritating you ,you should of talked to your neighbor and tried to come up with a solution to the problem, but apparently you didn't take those steps and u took the matter in your own hands. I am glad to hear you r feeling remorse. Now, you have already done one wrong thing, don't do a second! Go to your neighbor and tell him the truth and let him make the decision what he wants to do from there. Did you ever think he might like to bury his own pet? Please talk to them, they might be looking everyday for their dog and worrying endlessly. Don't turn a bad thing into an even worse thing - go talk to them.

um no 'dead stuff' as in dead organic matter can be very harmful as they can catch the disease themselves, do not bypass on the soap and if they have an allergy to soap then use specialist soap for dogs with hypo allergic skin from you local vet.

How could you? You need to file a police report and tell your neighbor. Then offer to replace the dog (which they will refuse of coarse) and bury the poor dog you murdered.

Tell your neighbor what happened, and apologize. They can take care of the "disposal" from there. Don't try to hide it.
