Your doctor cares for you & has sent your spectacle prescription. It should read as:

OD -4.75 Sph
OS-4.25/-0.50x043

Where: OD= occulus dextre (right eye)
OS= occulus sinster (left eye)

Sph= Spherical power

(-0.50x043)= your astigmatic power at an axis of 43 degrees

Only technical jargon. Do not think too much about it and save it for making your spects in emergencies.

Ob, should be OD, which is your right eye
The first number is your sphere number, the second number your cylinder number (for astigmatism) and the third should say x not + with the 043 being the axis of your cylinder. The right eye has no astigmatism

It should be od not ob. Od is the right eye, os is the left. The numbers are the prescription, but I can't tell you what they mean, (cuz I have no clue!). :)

It is your glasses prescription. He probably forgot to give it to you at your last visit and sent it to you now.

That just refers to how well you can see in each eye... why would he send you that?
