Let's say for example God killed everyone, including the babies, because he was angry for some reason but spared William H. Macy and his family.

Would that be OK?

If he spared Macy it would be called the Miracle on 42nd Street.

Body: Remember; God created people (humans) and can, very well, give them a better life- later ! God has a BIg plan in store for all of us humans and initiated that plan when He created the earth for us, then, eons of time later, made Adam & Eve. When you read what God has done in the Old Testament, you will see a God, Who is very intolerant of people doing there own thing - namely - sin ! God then, had them killed ! Should God decide to spare Macy and his family (which is not consistant with the God of the New Teastament) , that is God's perogative. God has a better future in mind for us all - a eternal one of no death - ever, happiness, hope, prosperity and absolutely no pain. This earth is running down with all its pollution, global warming, disease pandemics in the making, nuclear arms build -ups, etc. and it is now, only a matter of time before the man-made end of this age arrives and we do ourselves in. God fore saw this and planned for it, by allowing it to happen. We have to learn that we are not God and therefore, need a relationship with Him. The amount of people killed by other people i.e. Atheists like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, and so on, makes God look small, in comparison, (and God will make them all alive in the future too !) . Hope this puts your question in perspective.

While it would not seem OK to any of us who were killed, it would be God's Will and we have no power to change that.

We are all sinners and some of us may be more than others, but even the most pious looking person may not be so pious on the inside.

It does make a difference that Old Testament God killed a lot of people that New Testament God did not. It shows that God kept trying to get us to see that we needed to stop sinning and finally gave up on us. We are given forgiveness by believing and trying to stop our sinning, but God now realizes that we will always be sinners.

Take care,
Troy

HI
He did spare Noah and saved him from a corrupt world, the only thing he can't tolerate is corruption and in Noah's day even the babies were killed because the world was so corrupt that the parents spread their corruptness into them, so I don't think it is wrong to think that people will be spared this coming judgment even William H Macy and his family could be saved.

Check out 2 Kings 2:23-25, Act 5:1-11, or the Story of Noah's arch. God has done this sort of thing before. We just need to have faith in him and that he know what is best for all.

Only a psychopath or a Christian could ask that question. But I repeat myself.
