It is because of this almighty chip on there sholder if we accuse one person we accuse all when this is not actualy the case yes inocent person did get shot in the arm by the police (and that was milked for all it was worth) but it is all for the protection for the country the police need to make sure no stone is left unturned or there will be hell to pay if we left it and bombs went off To be fare to muslims thoughtit is not all of them who are moning the majority of muslims in the country are very probably law abiding people it is the leaders who are trying to get them enraged and cause the trouble it is all just to make a stand

CHIZZA : stated ------ They are understandably annoyed because previous arrests in their community have been heavy handed and apparently unsubstantiated by any evidence. They look like they are harbouring undesirables in front of the eyes of international press. Just imagine if these people turn out to be innocent.

It really bugs me when people come out with utter tripe like this.
Unfortunately matey it's not that simple and terrorist don't walk round with teeshirts with the words 'I'm a terrorist' printed on. If they did life would be much easier for the Police and Security Services. Unfortunately in the real world the security services have to balance risk and public safety. Public safety should win hands down everytime and if mistakes, even serious ones are made on the way then so be it. The safety of the general public is more important than the safety of one individual.
As far as being 'Heavy Handed' so what, you can't take a chance when your life might be at stake. The person you are going to arrest may have a gun or knife which they are only to willing to use. Don't forget we are talking about suicide bombers here who are only to willing to take you and others with them.
'Unsubstantiated by any evidence'. Are you for real have you forgotten the court case in London that's on going at the moment. We are hearing about plenty of evidence in that case!!!

You really need to get real, this is the real world and not some idealistic paradise and as such you need appropriate measures to deal.

I am not a muslim, but my understanding is that the majority of muslims are pleased that the police are looking for terrorists and support them. After all, a number of the victims in London bombings have been muslim. And an increasing number of the police are also muslim.

It is in the misguided interests of terrorists to spread propaganda that the legitimate actions of the police against them are against the muslim faith, and unfortunately some younger muslims are foolish enough to get taken in by this.

Muslims were killed in the 7/7 attacks and in 9/11 so i have no idea.
And the press are annoying too. I don't know what world they live in but they seem to have a great disregard for the intelligence of the ordinary working man of this country!

And if they are selling more newspapers sticking up for the rights of these idiots, when there is more news on their doorstep than they can handle about real news!!

i have stopped buying newspapers becauseof this!! And because of the celeb orientated news. Something else that is very annoying.

Muslims do not object to the hunt for terrorists but to profiling and prejudging. Just because a man wears a towel on his head or a woman a face-concealing scarf is not sufficient reason to suspect him or her of terrorist activity. It's like some of our citizens who at times feel they're singled out as suspects because they're "driving while black". Osama bin Laden wears a beard. Does that mean everyone who wears a beard is a terrorist? Let's hope that most Americans don't behave like those pluperfect idiots in Boston who panicked over a simple advertising gimmick! If they object, then they can't expect us to believe in the concept of the moderate Muslim majority, because, in fact, the terrorists rule. There have been plenty of examples in history where the sheep like majority have been passive whilst the zealots have taken control. In fact, I would say that this is how it normally goes. I haven't even mentioned the sheep like majority (or perhaps indoctrinated) within the indiginous population.

I think the muslims just need to realise that the majority of terrorists (like 9/11 and july 7) were done by people of the muslim race so yes they are gonna be discriminated in our country. like you say, the law are just trying to protect our country from these awful terrorists. I blame the goverment for letting so many asylum seekers into this country in the first place.
