In the King James Bible: Genesis 1: 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. From the beginning the calendar started, but was used in the B.C. terms meaning before Christ, and then after Jesus was born it started with year 1, year 2, and so forth until we now have the year 2007. This is probably not a totally accurate date from the very first Hebrew or Greek calender, but it is the best we can do, as far as I know.
You will have to add the 2007 yrs. to the B.C. years, and see if that helps.

God said....Bang and there was a big bang, something out of nothing, just like evolutionists believe. Why is this so hard for you to grasp? Do you know the Bible even mentions black holes/voids in space? How did they know about them back then unless God revealed it?
Seriously, why don't you put the Bible aside, your evolutionist studies aside and study what Creationist scientists have to say. There is much scientific evidence to back up creation and discredit carbon dating and the like. If you do you might be a bit more open minded and maybe start seeing the beauty and truth of the Holy Bible. Hope you find the truth, if you truly seek it you will.

It doesn't say anywhere in the bible the date.
An anglican bishop named Ussher, back in the 1700's, laboriously worked backwards from jesus' birth (which he assumed to be the year 0, although that's also incorrect), traced all the "begats" and generations listed, and came up with the date of October 23, 4004 BCE as the date of creation. Fundamentalists have stuck with that date ever since, putting the entire earth at 6,010 years old and a few months.
Of course, it's completely wrong. There are cities in Mesopotamia older than that. There have been hundreds of villages and human settlements found that are MUCH older than that. Your average run of the mill dinosaur bone is MILLIONS of years older than that. The archaeological, geological, biological, anthropological evidence is overwhelming in proving that date incorrect -- every single branch of science has tons of evidence showing the earth to be 4.5 billion years old.
The story in the bible is just another creation myth, like the Ainu's story about two turtles having sex and making the world, or the Hindu myth, or any of thousands of others -- all completely incorrect.
Of course, fundie christians invent all kinds of excuses to try and justify their claim of a young earth (such as, "god planted the dinosaur bones") -- there is no evidence for any of their claims.

Psalm 24:1-2, "The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods."
Yacad, established or founded; nahar, streams or floods; yam, sea or massive fluid. The naturalist picture the protoplanet formed from portions of the matter gravitationally accreted into spiralling whirls of matter flowing into coalescing points of the star and planets. If you were to describe that picture in a few elegant words to an audience of three thousand years ago, how would you tell it?

I think they used the generations of people in Numbers, but it isn't accurate. Before the whole fruit fiasco, Adam and Eve lived as immortals. No one knows how long that was, could have been thousands of years for all we know, and during that time, they were procreating and filling the earth with people. The bible states the age of Adam when he died, but it doesn't mention the fact that those years before the fruit most likely weren't counted. So basically, all they or anyone can do is guess.

God created the Heavens and Earth on day 1.....
Genesis 1 (King James Version)
1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Genesis 2:4 (King James Version)
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

through the calculations of the geneologies of the men in the Bible then we can guestimate around 10,000. So where does it say evolution began? It doesn't well I guess you're wrong. Since neither knows exactly when, I don't think we ever existed. I'm not here right now am I

You are so smart.
Job 38
The LORD Speaks
1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. He said:
2 "Who is this that darkens my counsel
with words without knowledge?
3 Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.
4 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone-
7 while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels [a] shouted for joy?
