Technically, anyone who has accepted Christ as his or her savior. Keep in mind, that there are people who have accepted Christ who really don't understand what their responsibility is after they accept Him. Many people think that after they do that one thing that their job is done. A true Christian is still a human being with faults, but recognizes their need to improve themselves and become more Christ-like. This is an on-going process, that continues until the day they die. Unfortunately, some don't get very far in that department. They are the ones who make the rest of us look bad.

As far as I can tell there is no such thing as a true Christian. As having experienced both protestant and catholic christianity they both say only they have the true christianity and the others are wrong.
Catholics say protestants are a man made religion and vice versa yet they both say read the bible to find the truth and use the very same book to comdemn the other version of christianity as false.

Just because a person is a "true Christian," that does not exclude him from sinning. Due to the sin of Adam and Eve we are born with a human nature deprived of original holiness and justice. Even after Baptism, certain temporal consequences of sin remain in the baptised, such as suffering, illness, death, and such frailties inherent in life as weakness of character and so on, as well as an inclination to sin.(Concupiscence) Oh, and by the way, a true Christian is someone who has been anointed through the gift of the Holy Spirit in Baptism, therefore, a follower of Christ and a member of the Church (Body of Christ) established by Christ.

A 'true' Christian is one who has accepted the free gift of salvation provided by Jesus' death and resurrection.

You can tell a 'true' Christian by the fruits of the Spirit:

Galatians 5:22-26
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

A Christian is a person who has been "born-again" by the blood of Jesus. He has accepted Jesus into his heart to be his Lord and Savior by Faith. A Christian is known by the fruits of the Spirit of God working in his life - love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance - and especially by our love for one another (by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples if ye have love for one another). Christians are learners of Christ, actively working on becoming more like Him daily. We are not perfect - we are works in progress. A "false" Christian is one who says the name Jesus but does not have Christ living in them in His transforming power (salvation and its results) and does not actively pursue becoming more like Him each day.

A Christian does his/her best to lead a moral life. He/she is a part of this world, but not wordly. When he/she fails/commits sin, it is important to be repentant of the sin and try to avoid committing it again. A Christian is not perfect, but he/she tries because the Lord expects it of him/her. Love God with your heart and soul. Love your neighbor as yourself. Bear this in mind and you will never go wrong.

Peace be with you.

Jesus said; keep my commandments and I will like you as a wise man who built his house on a rock.

If thou love me keep my Commandments. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ you are not Jew, therefore you are not under the Laws or Commandments given by Moses.

You are under the 75 Commandments of Jesus Christ, the Bread of the New Testament, and Blood of His Testimony.

FIRST of all, If you are trying to point your finger at the way somebody acts, and calls themselves a Christian, DON'T.

YOU need to concern YOURself with how God sees YOU.

He isn't going to want an account of OTHERS lives when you stand in front of Him on Judgement Day.
LOOK AND BEGIN IN THE MIRROR.
