This is exactly what they have been doing for the past 30 years.
Why does it surprise you?
As long as there are people stupid enough to Deny the obvious they will keep spreading these lies.
Their greed depends on it.

I personally don't deny global warming. It is a fact that is happening. the questions I have with Al Gore and other advocates is that global warming is caused ONLY by human activities. The Earth has been going through cycles of warming and cooling for billions of years. My personal research has shown that the long period cycles of the Sun's activity combined with geological events like volcanoes and meteor impacts have a greater role to play in the Earth's cycle of hot and cold than do humans. We are still coming out of the last ice age and the Earth has not reached the temperatures that it had before that ice age began. Sea levels were higher, the poles were ice free and the Earth was a much different place. Everyone going crazy over the "human influence" is just plain silly. Unless we have a few major volcanic eruptions, or a large meteor impacts and kicks up enough dust, the Earth would get warmer whether we were here or not.

The globe is warming.Whether we are here or not.Even if we lived with no fossil fuels,it still would be warming. The Earth changes ,that's all there is to it.Puny little man has little to do with it.And if he did,it would be more the fault of Red China and India ,than the U.S. Those two have no pollution standards at all.
