I'd consider myself more of an agnostic, but I still don't believe in abortion. I've dealt with infertility, so I wonder why it's ok for women to get pregnant only to abort their unborn child...when someone like me who wants kids can't have them. Women should give their babies up for adoption instead of choosing abortion. People are all for saving the animals and PETA issues...but yet it's ok to kill an unborn human being? Seems pretty unfair to me.

Bravo for you being against abortion. Look I'm gonna lay it out like this...I'm against abortion period. It has nothing to do with the fact that I'm catholic (I just became catholic less than a year ago and I've always been against abortion), and it has nothing to do with the fact that I don't always agree with "The Left" (although Democrats/Liberals have some very good ideas, I find myself disagreeing with a lot of their tactics) However, this is how it is: Just because the law says you can have an abortion doesn't mean there's nothing wrong with it. It comes down to YOU. Don't start quoting laws, or court decisions, or the constitution or anything. Just ask yourself "Do I really believe deep down inside that there's nothing wrong with killing a living, breathing, life growing inside my body that is a part of me?" Your answer may still be yes and if asked you may start to spout off The Constitution, Court decisions etc. But consider this: For all of you out there that like to use this particular tactic to argue your point, let me ask you a question: Do you agree with every single law and every single line The Constitution says? Of course not...heck nobody does! If the constitution made it legal to murder people, would that make it right? If the constitution made it legal to rape anyone you liked would that make it right? If the constitution made it legal to steal anything from anyone, anytime, anywhere would that make it right? Of course not! And you know what? We all know these things are wrong anyway. We don't need the law, or religion, or anything else to know that. We're born with the inate ability to know the difference between right and wrong. People who are okay with abortion treat The Constitution and the law like they're infallible when it comes to this issue...especially when they find something in their favor. It doesn't matter what anyone, government, or state says, wrong is wrong no matter what...as would be the case with stealing, rape, and murder. So ask yourself the abortion question again and this time, really think about it. Forget your friends, forget your family, forget these ridiculous TV shows that glamorize abortion, and just let it be about you. What do YOU think? If you still think there's nothing wrong with it, that's fine, it doesn't make you a bad person, just maybe a little misguided, which is okay because trust me, we are ALL misguided on some level and some of our misguidance is more or less severe than others. The bottom line is just because you can, doesn't mean you should...and the sad part of that is that we all know that anyway.

ABORTION

The expulsion of an embryo or fetus before it can live on its own. Common use often distinguishes between abortion and miscarriage, the former being defined as the deliberate and induced emptying of a pregnant uterus, the latter being considered as the accidental and unavoidable interruption of pregnancy. The distinction between abortion and miscarriage is not made in the Bible; there the terms are used in a broader and interchangeable sense. The Hebrew sha·khal´, meaning “suffer an abortion” (Ex 23:26), is also rendered “bereave” (De 32:25), ‘bereave of children’ (Le 26:22), ‘miscarry’ (Ho 9:14), and “prove fruitless” (Mal 3:11). The Hebrew word yoh·tse´th, rendered “abortion” in Psalm 144:14, is from a root meaning “come out.” (Compare Ge 27:30.) The expressions “miscarriage” and “one prematurely born” (Ps 58:8; Ec 6:3) render the Hebrew word ne´phel, which comes from the root na·phal´, meaning “fall.”—Compare Isa 26:18.

Unavoidable abortion or miscarriage may be caused by accident, infectious disease, mental or physical stress and strain, or because of a general organic weakness on the part of the mother. The waters near Jericho were death dealing, causing miscarriages, until Jehovah’s prophet Elisha healed them.—2Ki 2:19-22.

Deliberately to induce abortion or miscarriage by artificial means, by the use of drugs, or by medical operation, the sole purpose of which is to avoid the birth of an unwanted child, is an act of high crime in the sight of God. Life as a precious gift from God is sacred. Hence God’s law to Moses protected the life of an unborn baby against more than criminal abortion, for if in a fracas between men a pregnant woman suffered an accident fatal to her or the child, “then you must give soul for soul.” (Ex 21:22-25) Of course, before applying that penalty, the circumstances and degree of deliberateness were taken into consideration by the judges. (Compare Nu 35:22-24, 31.) But emphasizing the seriousness of any deliberate attempt to cause injury, Dr. J. Glenn comments: “The viable embryo in the uterus IS a human individual, and therefore destroying it, is a violation of the sixth commandment.”—The Bible and Modern Medicine, 1963, p. 176.

Properly viewed, the fruitage of the womb is a blessing of Jehovah. (Le 26:9; Ps 127:3) Hence, in promising to prosper Israel, God gave assurance of successful culmination of pregnancy and the bringing forth of children, saying: “Neither a woman suffering an abortion nor a barren woman will exist in your land.” (Ex 23:26) As indicated in the prayer of the righteous, on the other hand, evidence of God’s disfavor to his enemies would be their having miscarrying wombs and their becoming like miscarriages that never see the sun.—Ps 58:8; Ho 9:14.

Job in his misery contemplated that it would have been better had he been “a hidden miscarriage.” “Why from the womb did I not proceed to die?” this tormented man cried out. (Job 3:11-16) Solomon, too, reasoned that a prematurely expelled fetus is better off than the person who lives a long time but who never comes to enjoy life.—Ec 6:3.

Contagious abortion, a disease characterized by premature birth, may occur among animals such as cattle, horses, sheep, and goats. Accidental abortion due to neglect or disease of domestic animals has also been known since the days of the patriarchs Jacob and Job.—Ge 31:38; Job 21:10.

i don't know of any web sites but i do have an opinion on abortion.
i feel that abortion is premeditated murder. to have am abortion(murder a baby), i has to be a conscious decision. that is why i say premeditated murder. i also believe that those that think it is ok and that women should be allowed to have the option of abortion are cold hearted and unfeeling. they don't care that they are dismissing the baby's right to live.if a woman does not want a baby she should keep her legs closed or use protection.when we as women get pregnant we lose all rights to do with our body as we wish until that innocent baby is born. if you don't want the baby, give it up for adoption.

It is a horrible awful thing and I would never want to have to make that decision... i never could...

HOWEVER because I feel that way... it doesn't give me the right to deny a woman her right to choose... I work in a psychiatric facility for children. So many abused, neglected, raped, beaten. They have no family's, they belong to the state. Not everyone is meant to be a parent. Not all children are wanted or loved. Some are sold to prostitution, some are raped by their fathers, some are burned with hot water for crying, some have their arms cut off so they stop crawling out of their cribs. These are all students that were in my care at some point.

People tend to confuse those of us who are pro choice as being pro-death, or anti life. However I don't go around killing babies during my lunch break. I just realize that women deserve the right to choose... and I know in my heart what decision I would make.

I am a Christian and I am against it also, Abortion is the same thing as mudurin a kid. Doctors think that they ain't killing but they are. There was a picture of a doctor doing a surgery , the women was pregnant and somthing was wrong so the doctor was fixing it.He took out the womb and opend it and did the sugery but when he was sowing it back together the baby raeched out and grabbed his finger. Just think about that, scientist say that a baby has controll of themselves till about one year old, this baby probobly was a couple months in side the womb not even fully divellupted and reaches out and grabbs his finger, that seems to mean that the baby was alive not lifeless.

I'm for abortion only if it's necessary to save the mother's life, if the baby will be born with severe birth defects which will affect his/her quality of life, or if some 12 yr old girl was raped and impregnated by her uncle. Certain circumstances require abortion, it should never be outlawed all together.

I wonder if the people that are "for a woman's right" consider the rights of the baby? =(

Anyway, here's a good link.....

I think abortion is wrong. I'm against it. The cliched arguments that I've heard in favor do not persuade me. It's murder in my opinion.
