I understand it is a somber topic, but it doesn't draw me in. I'd think they would have some emotion about the cause.

I guess the emotional aspect is why I chose this category.

I think they aren't much fired up about the topic of their choosing myself. The folks in the ads may just be mere actors, but perhaps low-rate actors.

If they looked any other way you would not have posted this question leaving no one else to think about the ad you saw. Therefore, their ad just worked

Well if they looked happy then people would think they enjoyed seeing people in misery

If they looked sad they would think helping people made them miserable

If they looked desperate people wouldn't help them.

There is no way they can win.

Plus, who wants to look like Nick Nolte's mugshot?
