The all-knowing infinitely-wise God who wrote the Bible was not aware of this concept of "planets" that you refer to.

The earth is flat and was created in six days.

It is written that if you do not believe in this God, you must be stoned to death.

Don't know about the Quran, but the Bible does mention stars, planets, etc in a few places (almost always in the context of God's glory - i.e. the majesty and vastness of the universe declare the glory of God.)

Now, the Bible won't spefically use the word planet, since that word and the concept is underlies were not understood until the telescope was invented. God could have revealed the existance of planets in the word, but would have been the point? No one would have understood what it meant.

There is one instance that seems to directly refer to the earth and it's planet-ness - Is 40:22 "He[God] sits enthroned above the circle of the earth..."

No. That's why they do not exist, except in scientist's imagination.
The Earth is at the center, the sun revolves around it. So does the Moon and that's it.
