Why is that when me, my sister and my brother lack sleep, we feel leg pains that seems to come from the bones, is it really the bones that are responsible for he pain? Is it the muscles above the bones? Or is it just a reffered pain?

That is because your body has not rested as it should have. It is the ligaments. Try massaging or soaking them in hot water. Try exercising all parts of your body. Consult a doctor if it persists. You can also look for information in the web. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html

Full information on muscles, pain and referred pain see The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. Written for the average person, includes instructions on what to do. Other option (or combination) is to see a chiropractor because muscles that are tight can shift bones causing pain as well (I prefer ones that use a tool called an activator instead of the bone crunchers).
