There really is no such thing as a "mail order bride". Go to http://www.elenasmodels.com, but only if you are serious and committed to finding a good mate. These are real girls, and not toys... and the travel to Russia is not cheap.
As to the comments from Carl... ignorance is bliss, my friend. Except what you say is not correct. Look to https://www.state.gov for information on visa requirements.
As to the "find an American woman" comments... there are 1000 reasons an American man would prefer a Russian woman... and none of them are reasons an American woman would understand. It's a cultural thing.

there are many sites like www.bride.ru in Internet with plenty nice and honest girls who are reallyy reall. I read some comments and I am ashamed that some Americans think there are not good girls in Russia. I agree that there is lot of Spam and some times there are people who just make money by putting advertising. But believe me there are some American man who use Russian girls just for fun and sexual entertainment and sometimes they are happy married in USA. But no russian girl will say this about american man in general. Lets resppect one another.

I would'nt bother. Most of these women are only looking for a free ride to America. And it won't be easy for you to do. You have to write someone for a certain period of time to prove you have a real relationship. The INS would ask for photos you've exchanged.(these won't be returned) They will also ask for copies of phone bills...Plus you have to send them copies of your tax returns for the past three years. If you did'nt make a set amount of money,they won't ok her visa to come here. And another biggie, you have to meet her in person before they will even consider giving her a visa,and that means a trip to Russia for you. It's not like odering a CD. You're talking about a human being here. If you want a Russian lady for some reason, I'd suggest finding one already living here.

Kevin is right on. He is very happily married to a wonderful Russian/Ukrainian woman, but that is not a free ride to the U.S. His wife introduced me to my current girlfriend, another wonderful Russian/Ukrainian woman whom I am going to visit in March. But at $2000 a pop (minimum for a week) getting a Russian "bride" is not a cheap proposition at all, and one trip is not going to be sufficient for the State Department to even issue a tourist visa. You have to show a real commitment to your relationship.
And the reasons not to "shop" in America are very strongly cultural. American women have been brainwashed into being ashamed of being feminine and being a sexual being. The women's lib movement has done a real number on them. They may get equal pay most of the time and get preferential consideration in the job market, but they've lost the ability to really enjoy being a woman. They're told that to be feminine and sexual is to "sell out" to men. It's too bad. An American man who is sensitive to the issues of treating his woman like an equal and appreciating her sexuality and a Russian woman who enjoys being a woman and not treating her man like he is personally responsible for the ills of the last 5000 years of male-dominated civilization is a nearly perfect combination for happiness.
