Call Internal Revenue and be sure of your answer. How foolish will you sound if you get audited and have to say....uh....I didn't know but on yahoo answers they said........!

Yes. A child can be a dependant and file a form 1040EZ. He must however check the box that says he is claimed as a dependant on another person's tax return.

Yes. My son worked last year and we filed him and he filed his own also. We had our accountant take care of all the proper papers since we have no clue of what to do. It cost 125 last year for both of us to file.

yes, he can file his own taxes even though you are claiming him as a dependent. he just doesnt get the exemption for himself.

Yes, but he cannot claim himself on that return, since you already claimed him.
