This is why I ask you out there to give me advice about my cockatiels, because I live in Taiwan now.

I don't think living in taiwan is going to make a difference. cockatiels will not eat things that they don't consider food. If they have never had it before...they may not be sure that it is food. Try mixing small amounts of fruits, vegetables, eggs, cooked rice or noodles, etc into their regular food. Offer them a bite of your food while you are eating. cockatiels are like people. we like some things and we hate others. the fact that it is good for us or bad for us really isn't the issue. When you start to think of your cockatiels like you would small child just learning to eat new foods you'll understand a bit more. Start slow. mix healthy foods into their normal diet and be sure to remove food before it spoils. If you find something it likes, offer it again and this time mix a new food in. Eventually your tiel will have a few choice healthy foods that will make it easier for you to feed them. Once they learn to love food you are in for! Don't expect to have dinner without your friend joining you or begging for whatever you have from it's cage. don't feed your tiels: chocolate, avocado, most fruit pits, peanuts, caffiene, high in sodium (u might have to watch this in tawain), sugary foods, etc. Basically anything that is wholesome and good for you is also good for your bird. Good luck it'll take time and alot of patience. but in the long run you'll be successful in introducing your babies to new food. :)
