I saw on BBC1 that if your flight was provided with accommodation then you do not have to pay the new APD but no one seems to be able to confirm this. Can anyone help ?

It all depends on the company and what airline they are using for the holiday. It is best to call the agent you booked with and they can confirm with the operator if there is any extra payment to be made to your holiday.

it fairly is a variety of inexpensive airplanes that would not have the little t.v. reveal on the decrease back of the guy in front of you's chair? i've got been on a pair of those. even nonetheless they weren't any further than 6 hours so all i did became into stare out the window and nod off. yet you're able to attempt taking a stable e book or an ipod. in case you have a movie telephone which would be great as long as you place it into flight mode so it would not intrude with any navigation alerts. purchase a nintendo D.S. or yet another style of hand held interest. Get a bop it with headphones so it would not annoy human beings, they're quite addictive. purely take as many diverse forms of entertainment as you may so it would not get tedious. keep in mind you wont be wide awake for the entire 17 hours. Have an excellent flight! :-)

Regardless of who you booked with, where you booked when you booked and where you are staying, the new Air Passenger Duty needs to the Treasury. Some airlines may pay without passing the cost to the passenger; others will pass it onto the passenger. You need to speak to the airline to see if they will make you pay or whetherthey will fork out for it out of their money.

yup! so long as you're taking a flight it'll come out of your fair.

every passenger on every aircraft will now need to be charged in order for the airline companies to pay the tax.

i don't mind paying it, i just hope it's used for a decent purpose & doesn't end up down someone's pocket that's all.

I think you should prepare yourself to pay it. You don't want the airline to refuse to check you in. Technically you shouldn't have to pay it because when you buy plane tickets there is nothing in the terms and conditions that says they can charge you retrospectively, except for excess baggage costs.
