Instead of doing basic pew bows that have been done over and over.....
Use the expandable oriental fans...
either red fans w/white flowers (cala lillies-stephanitis-or poppies..etc)and red ribbon stremers
or
white fans w/red flowers (roses or poppies...etc)and white ribbon stremers.
There's different ways to arrange them. You can have the fan either straigt or tilted on an angle for some depth/dimension. Arrange the flowers in a natural and loose fashion, they don't all have to be perfectly idenctical from one to another, use some whispy greens for added color (not fern, it may appear to "harsh") and tie together leaving long (satin or organza) ribbon streamers.
Just play around with it, there's no wrong way...just make them how you'd like them to be. These are easy and can be done by yourself or family/friends which would save you a few dollars as well.
