I'd invest more of your money decorating the reception than the church as its going to make more of an impact. However, I love the candle holders that look like lil teahouses. Usually bronze. Get several of those and put them around.

Red and Ivory sounds like you are going for a more elegant, dignified look. I'd go to Bed Bath and Beyond. something like this to hang on the pews.

Perhaps have your unity candle with a symbol like that.

I always think of Red in asian weddings. Either do something like a red guestbook or what looks like the red envelopes for placecards. I know its outrageously expensive but if money is ok, sushi at the reception. If not, serve on the square plates.
