humm. well first off, you need to contact the American Kidney foundation.. They can help you with your questions.. go to www.webMD.com and do a search for them in their search engine, or go to your google page and do a web search for them..
Once you get to the page about 3 stage kidney diease, read about it..

There are things you can do to help your kidneys and ward off the further damage..

They are these,
Do not smoke.
Take anything in way of drugs unless the doctor gives it to you
No alcohol, this ruins your kidneys badly
Watch your intake of Milk, cheese and dairy products. Dairy is very hard on the kidneys..
DO DRINK cranberry juice, low in sugar..
Find a specialist from a university near you. And get a second opinion..

Kidney problems are very difficult for most regular doctors, so if you do not get answers, it is because they don't really know and have to call the above to ask them what they should do..

When you have kidney diease, your going to be your own best friend or your own worst enemy..

Good luck and hope this helps you find the resource you seek.. but do not do what anyone tells you on here to do.. Like taking Medication.. Kidney diease is a serious matter that only your doctors can tell you what is best for you.. I was seen by the doctors at Uof M hospital, So been there and done it..

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

Normally it cant be fixed as such but you should be on tablets to reduce the risk of further damage like cholesterol tablets (eg simvastatin), blood pressure tablets (eg ramipril) and aspirin which all reduce the risks associated with CKD.
