Depends on the age of each person. If the younger person is at least in their late 20s, no, a 6 year difference will be barely noticed, especially if both parties are mature. However, if the younger person is 17, that's would be considered socially unacceptable.

It's only unacceptalbe if one of the involved people is underage. I personally don't think that an age difference is bad. If it works out, then great. But with an age gap, you can also get a maturity gap. That is a bigger problem and usually works itself out by means of a breakup. 6 years isn't that bad....I'm 12 years younger than my bf.

Age differences become less significant as both people get older.... For instance, if you are 13, and he/she is 19, then yes, that's unacceptable, for moral and legal reasons.... But if you are 21 and he/she is 27, that is much less significant.
