It could be an addition. He could be a stalker. Or, maybe it is just a chrush.
On the other hand, he may really like you but does not know how to control himself.
He is definitely coming on way too strong, and you need to tell him to tone it down, as in don't call me as often, or write me as often, etc..
He may be just too eager, and perhaps that is his style.
Unfortunately, that is the surest way to turn a woman off.
See if he is willing to contact you less frequently. If he does not, or will not, then stay away from him.

I think it is a good sign that after all takes time to give you attention. Now, I don't know is this addiction....you have to find out by yourself....but my suggestion is this : trust him, be with him until he prooves the opposite. Frist action t han trust. That's life.
