In terms of warm breakfasts, a serving of oatmeal (Quick, Old-Fashioned or Instant -- there's no major difference other than consistency provided that your instant is the original/plain variety) with some bananas, raisins or dried fruit.

You need some protein, however, as well, otherwise it's not balanced and you'll end up hungry later in the morning. Eggs are always good choices. Make an egg white omelet with 1-2 yolks and the remainder whites only. Eggs are very satisfying and a study in 2005 found that people who ate eggs for breakfast felt more satisfied and ate less the rest of the day.

If you are in a hurry, whatever you do, don't skip. Instead reach for a glass of skim milk with a scoop or two of whey powder mixed in. This will give you between 20-40 grams of quality protein along with the slower digesting milk protein. I like Double Rich Chocolate 100% Whey from Optimum Nutrition. You can get it at GNC or most health food/sport nutrution stores (or online at http://www.bodybuilder.com)

I heard on Good Morning America last week that having no more than 6 eggs a week will help you lose weight. Well its not that easy, but it recommended having an egg and piece of whole grain toast for breakfast every morning. Mmmm good!

Oatmeal with your fruit off choice. A glass of skim milk. A piece of wheat toast and orange juice.

There are also several cold cereals on the market that are low in calories, fat and high in fiber.

I like to take all kinds of fruit, like kiwi, bananas, strawberries, apple, oranges... pretty much anything you can think of (and like) .. and cut them up in a little bowl, cover in vanilla yogurt, and you're good to go!!
Another good one is.. omlets... eggs are really good for you too!!!
