I’m not that old of a guy only 23 but I never remember hearing the term "illegal war" ever before the start of OIF. Now I hear it all the time, from OIF to Spanish American War, has this term always been around and I’m just to young to remember or is it new?
P.S. I'm a soldier and been to Iraq three times, I dont care if you think it is an illegal war or not

Prime Evil I don’t care if I impress you or not, but its nice to know that your freedom of speech was giving to you by people like me, I do in fact think it is funny that you are obviously against the war but yet you don’t care or respect people at all. You call Iraqis "ragheads" I am fighting with these people and show them more respect.

There is no such thing as an "illegal war." It is an invention of the Bush haters. Per the United Nations definition there is only the concept of waging "aggressive war." So at best Bush maybe could be accused of waging "aggressive war." I think it is not likely as the first Gulf war ended as a cease fire and NOT a peace treaty. Hussein repeatedly violated the cease-fire aggreement. So if there were to be a trial of Bush he would be aquitted.
I am 43 and a vet of the first Gulf War. "Illegal" war is a term invented by the left to describe war they do not like.

Putting a fancy label on it will not change the fact that the teachers seem to think she has a problem. Call it "spirited", "indigo", "special", whatever you want, it doesn't change the behaviour. The teachers don't care whether her condition is labelled as ADD, ADHD or "spirited", they just want her to do well in school. Don't make excuses for her, but work with her teachers and her doctor to find ways to help her cope better with school - which may well not be drugs, there are lots of non-drug methods to help kids who have problems behaving or concentrating. A friend of mine had an ADHD specialist go into her child's school, she observed the child in class and made some suggestions to the teacher as well as going on to treat the child (not with drugs, with a program of special activities). You could ask your doctor if something like that exists where you live?

I didn't Think Vietnam was a legitimate deployment either,But I didn't run off to Canada,Get student deferments to take macrame classes,or enlist in The Air National Guard.
I walked the bush in Dong Ha,South Vietnam,with the 1/11th. Infantry, 5th. Mechanized Infantry Div. (1969 - 70)
I believe the term has been around in some form ever since Wars have been fought, but the latest furor of the term probably was caused by 1st Lt.Ehren Watada refusing to deploy to Irag on the grounds that this conflict is Illegal.
It goes back to "Innocent until proven guilty". Under the Law,you can't accuse someone of wrongdoing, without being able to prove it "beyond a Shadow of a doubt". .
Therefore, someone can't use the legality of something(without being able to prove it) to avoid fulfilling a debt,or accepting responsibility for your actions in ANY Honorable endeavor.

People appear to have decided that anything that they disagree with is 'illegal.'
Hearing this kind of talk concerns me as it appears that supposed 'liberals' seem not to have much respect for the concept of 'rule of law.'
The fact is that the _only_ way the war can be 'illegal' is if it violates an existing 'on the books' law.

It's a term created by the liberal media.
We are defending ourselves against terrorists who are the ones fighting against the rules. The Geneva Convention requires that soldiers carry their weapons in plain sight and wear uniforms (among other rules).
Since the terrorists do neither, they are not entitled to the protections of the convention. Yet, we still do our best to treat their prisoners with respect. They are treated better than the criminals in our jails, yet the bleeding hearts say they're being "tortured."
Pathetic.

This is a bulls*** term thrown out by America hating leftists. We had a ceasefire with Saddam from 1991. If he did not completely follow those terms (he didn't), hostilities could resume.

I believe that any war that started on nothing but a pack of lies is an illegal one.
If you have been deployed to Iraq so many times, you certainly may be deployed the 4th and 5th time, as this back-door draft has been doing to millions of soldiers.
Good luck & God Bless.
