I am not sure but you can start by calling the place where you sent off to get your sons Birth Certificate and ask them what are the procedures. You can also have a free consultation with a Lawyer and get some advice.
Good luck to you....

It is possible to do. First of all, if you were married when your son was born, than the man you were married to is the legal father, and will be kept on the birth certificate, unless you have a court order stating that the birth certificate is to be changed. If you weren't married and simply had the wrong guy fill out the Paternity Acknowledgement, you may be able to change it. Contact the Vital Statistics office at VitalStats@doh.state.fl.us and they will most definetely give you an answer within 2 days.

If you don't have a father listed on the birth certificate, all you do is fill a form out putting his name on father, if you do have one listed you have to get a court order to get it changed, I went through the same thing several years ago.
