I have been defending Islam to a ton of christian scholars that are arguing that Islam is not peaceful, and I'm all but being stoned to death. It turns out that they are not only not our brothers, but our opposites. Please explain these quranic passages.

I don't see how anyone can say that Islam is a peaceful relgion. Especially after you quoting your text....
Jesus was killed. He died die on the cross for ALL of our sins. This is documented very well, not just in the Bible.
NO ONE can define those passages any different then what it says. You are ordered to KILL all non-believers. End of story.
You personally might not ever follow this command from your God. You and others might life your lives in peaceful harmony with other people of faiths. But as a whole, Islam is the ONLY religion that commands that kill others who don't believe.
Big difference.......your god says "KILL" our GOD says "love and pray for them". Who is the most peaceful? Think about it.
My question to you is, when it comes down to Your faith and killing your next door neighbor who is a Christian, what will you do?? Face all of eternity (in your religion) in Hell (or whatever you call it) or bomb a fellow neighbor? You will KILL.
No peace in that.

Yes. Muslims are also human beings. Their patient also have limits. What U see in the media are the action of the angry Muslims. They attacked people and infrastructure. They acted very cruel. But why? Why only the Muslims are seen to be very violent and cruel ? Are we blind to also see the Israel bombing the residential area in Palestine killing Women and Children's. Are all these people, Women and Children, U called Terrorists ? People who are not armed with weapons and who are helpless. What kind of danger do they pose to the world ? Why don't U mentioned about this ?
Beside this, there are many other issues which angered the Muslims. Thus, their actions caused people to speculate hatred of Islam / Muslims. But, do U ever ask your self, if some one slapped your face with a sandal, what will you do ? Smile at that person or what ? Thus, Islam is a peaceful religion, however, the Muslims have the right to protect himself and his religion from any harm and danger.

Koran says about Jesus that He never be killed because Allah
protected Him and took Him to sky with 4 high rank angels.Koran

Had you gone through the full version of the surah, you might have not felt like this.
Since Christians are used to conceal, delete, add, alter, fabricate their scriptures, they are doing this to Quran also. i.e. concealing a part of Surah and producing the CHOSEN ONE to prove their dirty aims.

"And if anyone of the idolaters seeketh thy protection (O Muhammad), then protect him so that he may hear the word of God, and afterward convey him to his place of safety. "(The Qur’an 9:6)
"[2:190-192] And fight in the cause of Allah with those WHO FIGHT WITH YOU, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits. And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from where they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque (in Makkah) UNTILL THEY FIGHT WITH YOU in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the reward of the unbelievers. But if they desist, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they desist, then there should be no hostility EXCEPT AGAINST THE OPPRESSORS."
These instructions exactly correspond with the International law. And every nation and every person or set of people has the right to self defence and to defend his/their property.-----as per law of the land.
As for believing that Jesus is son of God or God himself, I reproduce the views of several Historians [non-muslims] who opined that this belief was introduced into the Christian scriptures, intentionally.

It can also be observed that one of the writers of The New Testament, one of the premier saints of Christianity, represents Jesus an illegitimate son of a ghost whom the saint considers , "holy", but whom some others think an " unholy demon " as he evidently brings about vices like " folly, adultry, frivolity, lewdness,......"--[ The Asatir by M.Gaster, p-132 ]

P.S..........Some critics & historian have used abusive langugae for Jesus which I do not appreciate and Muslims always consider Christ as a holy prophet who led the world to the truth and light.
