hey does anyone know roughly about hair extensions and prices out there.. i really want to get some but not the ones that take days to do in the salon and glue to individual hairs but the ones that come in a line of hair that simply clips/grips onto your hair underneath and is easy to get out whenever you want to. I have natural blonde hair so i dont know if it would be harder to match the colour. i just want my hair to be longer, its below shoulder length and layered at the moment. and i want to just change my look to help me deal with break up. any help?..

I use the clip ins and LOVE them. Go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy the hair without the clips. You will save roughly $50 dollars and the clips are only $1.99 for 3. Have someone measure the places you want to put the hair and cut pieces to length. Sew in the clips on the pieces and you have custom fitted extensions. To put them in, just section off where you wan them to go. Rat the spot where the clip will go, spray the spot with a strong hold hair spray like Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine. Put in the clips and secure. Takes me about 10 minutes to put mine in. This method will ensure that the clips stay in all day and all night if you want them to.

Let me give you some advice on hair extensions.
If you look threw yahoo answers you will see the nightmares girls have tiring to get it out. It's not pretty.

Use the kind that they have a tool that closes the hair on your hair.
Not too much to causes breakage. Stay AWAY FROM GLUE!

Realize this is expensive and the more you pay the better experience that person has. Also be sure you can deal with the upkeep.

It's a whole norther world your getting into.
How about a wig it would be a lot easier.

That is what I use when I have to do productions.
And everyone is happy.
Good Luck

hot?...........so not

worth it....nuh uh

why not just try waiting for yout hair to grow naturally or, if you really want colour why not streak your hair some cool colour oronge, red or brown would look cool, don't go black, blue, pink or any extravagent colours cause you'll just end up looking rank.

by the way hair extensions, don't go there, i bought a couple of those clip ones, it hurts..like it actually hurts, cause in order to keep it well hidden and well fastened you need to really clip it well and tight, and usually it either
a) digs into your scalp; or
b) pulls out your hair when you try to remove it.

you'll look way more attractive if you put in brown streaks if your a blonde-good contrast) and your hair will suffer less damage and pain.

do what you want, buy 1 if you must, but don't spend too much, cause you probably WILL be dissapointed.

just remember you were warned.
my scalp hurts just remenising.

anyway have a good one

I just saw a program on hair loss the other night on Donny Deutsch. The hair expert said that hair extensions aren't a good idea because they eventually make you lose your hair.
The reason is because hairdressers make a tight braid around the area where they are to be attached, in order to fasten them securely. Then you wash your hair with the extensions in, you can't get the shampoo out of the braided part, and the tight braids cause hair loss and possible scalp infection.
So if you still want them after that, go for it !
