Suppose there was a tremendous problem facing humanity and you could spend ten minutes of your day either praying for God to fix it or working to fix it yourself. And suppose you couldn't split the time it had to be ten minutes of one or ten minutes of the other.
How would you spend those ten minutes?

Analyze the problem, find out how it got that way, and take steps to fix it and ensure it doesn't happen again. There is a 99% chance we made the problem anyway. Why expect God to fix our mess?

I can't see it being a very pressing problem if all that needs to be done is 10 minutes worth of work. If it was a truly tremendous problem that required all of us to do something about it, I hope we'd spend more time working on it than 10 minutes a day.
If I had the ability and resources I would devote a lot more time, energy and funds working to solve said problem. Praying would be as productive as masturbating. It might make someone feel good, but it doesn't do anything to solve the problem. Unless the world's problem is not enough masturbation.

I believe that God expects us to be practical in our daily lives and if the problem was man made then we are entitled to correct it,God can and will help in problems that are a danger to the souls of Humanity which is something that He does through prayer.

Why don't you buy a gun, come to my house, and shoot me in the head. It's what you want to do anyway. Hate, hate, hate, my heart is sick and my ears are full of it. ENOUGH for me, goodbye.
EDIT: I apologize, that wasn't really directed to you. I just went through my email got about a dozen from atheists telling me I'm sick, f off, I hate you, I want you to die, etc etc etc. I'm quitting this board for a while, you guys just make me want to cry.
