Ok, Well a few months ago i asked proabably the same question. I want to but a speaker box in my truck of my 04' Oldsmobile Alero with 2 of those Sony Explode Subwoofers...? is that right? also Do i need an amp? if so i need some specifics... I would like to purchase most of this at wal-mart... also do i need to replace the speakers in the front doors and back seat? Do i need a pro? they are expensive arent they? but can i buy most of this at wal-mart. and do i need to replace my radio

never NEVER by anything car audio related from walmart. you will end up spending more in the long run because its going to wreck your car. yes you need an amp, preferrably one that that matches the RMS of your two speakers. you dont need to replace your speakers IFFFF they sound ok. if your short on cash i suggest going to at least best buy or circuit city so that you can add on a warranty wal mart doesnt have warranties on their audio equipment. circuit city is better for installing than best buy and about the same price. if you dont know what your doing, as i can see you dont then have a pro put it in for you. my personal opinion is to stay away from sony completely they just suck. go with pioneer or rockford if you are low on cash

You need a PRO... Here i am. Don't waste your money on the Sony's not worth it I can get you better quality for the same price. I can walk you through all this.
