Every single Religion has miracle stories, but Imagine if none of the books, The bible,The Quaran, torah ect, held no miracle stories. Imagine if they just had some stories and some examples of Philosophies but no Miracles. Would anyone take them serious? or do you think that by putting miracle stories in them, people are more likely to believe?

Hey bryan, How can all miracle stories be true? If they all are true then every religion is right?

Yes, people will fall for almost anything if they are shown the magical effects they will get from it. What would a snake oil salesman have done without a partner planted in the crowd to receive the "miracle cure" from him? He'd have been looking for a new scam, that's what. Basically religion is a con game.

Well from what I know of is that the Qur'an has miracle stories and some of wisdom and philosophy--like the constant use of the world "reflect"--if you studied Descartes you would know what I mean by such word in philosophy. To some people like athiests, they say they don't believe in miracles because they haven't seen them or they don't happen. They might prefer examples of philosophies like what Socrates can probably say. Thus, in this way, they can believe in religions. However, some people do not really learn much from philosophy because it could be complicated and understood from so many perspectives. Therefore, they could likely believe in miracles.
I think at the time when Prophets came to deliever the message of God--they were asked to perform miracles. That is probably why this enouraged people to accept their faith and believe that there is actually One God.

Love is the biggest miracle ever and it was definitely done by God
through Jesus when He died on the cross for your sins and mine and that the Bible promises that He is coming back soon to take those who accepted Him in their life as their personal Savior.
Without the love of God through Jesus all those others miracles
are worthless.

Emagine if Xenu himself came down to earth, and told everyone to respect and believe in scientology, and then used his massive ray gun to dsetroy half of the non-belivers as examples. Would you still laugh at scientology? The fact of the matter is, there are miracle stories, and they are true. Stop coming up with questions like "What if....."

Thomas Jefferson felt the need to rewrite the Bible without them since he though they were bunk. Here is the result. It is a fun read: http://www.angelfire.com/co/JeffersonBible/

I do think people pay more attention if something out of the ordinary happens in mythology - or real life. That's just human nature, isn't it?

They would still have followers. Most people prefer to follow rather than make their own choices, then if things don't work out, they can blame someone else.
