I don't see all of them like that. I am sorry Its like saying All Christians are hypocrites because they go to church one day a week and the other days they spend judging others and calling them names, using profanity and doing all the things that they were taught not to do.
I think that we see some saying things and then we think they all do.
I am sorry I don't see that.

I think humans are a bunch of hypocrites. I'd say atheists are in now way worse than Christians or members of other religions.
What makes an atheist morally superior to a Christian? Hmm. Well, that's an interesting proposition. I'm not sure anybody has said that exactly. I think there are moral Christians. But there are plenty who aren't. As an example look at the stats for US prisoners - only 0.2% are atheists. That makes it appear that atheists are generally more law-abiding. That certainly doesn't prove anything, but if you assume morals and laws go hand-in-hand (which is a bad assumption to make, but I make it for argument's sake), then clearly atheists are more moral.
Your second question about evangelizing is also interesting. For a start it's clearly wrong - only Christians evangelize. If you don't believe me, use a dictionary and look up the meaning of evangelize. However, atheists do frequently argue against religion. The difference is that theists argue about faith and atheists argue about reason. That may sound unfair to may theists, but it is the case. There is no evidence for a god or gods. Therefore any argument for god(s) is based on faith.
But that doesn't answer the question. You ask why... Well that's simple. There seem to be two reasons:
1) Theists but forward statements arguing with science. This requires a rational response, and often it comes from atheists (and plenty of theists as well).
2) Faith clearly doesn't make sense - although a significant majority of the world's population are religious, the majority of people are opposed to any single religion. There are more non-Christians than Christians, etc. Basically, even theists disagree with one another. Atheists try to point out the non-religious arguments for creation, etc. I think this has more to do with atheists enjoying free thinking and debate than 'evangelizing'. And the reason they are so sure of themselves is because all the evidence supports their view.

... and you are the perfect example of Christian morality? I think you should be wary of generalising in your questions. I know many Atheists are hypocrites, but not all. Atheists are certainly not superior to Theists of any kind. I, for one, don't believe anyone is superior to anyone else.
If I ever criticise someone evangelising it is because I disagree with what they say, but I try to do it respectfully. Many Atheists have been Christian (or other religions) before coming to Atheism and I know many get annoyed when a Christian would say "you don't understand, it's in the Bible" or words to that effect.
I was a member of the Salvation Army and, therefore, am aware of the Bible. I am educated about most major religions and have made an informed decision to be an Atheist. This does not give me (or anyone else) the right to act morally superior.
Did you just ask the forbidden question, "how do you know there is no God"? Oh dear! This question has been asked repetitavely on here and every time I give an answer I am ignored, with people saying 'it is part of God's plan'. In other words, all the evidence I have seen dismissing the existance of God was God's plan to decieve me. No matter what arguement I come up with, this will always be a valid arguement, so why should I make an arguement at all?
I will tell you that, as an educated person, I have seen sufficient evidence to decide for myself that there is no God. If you would like me to go into further detail, email me and I will gladdly elaborate.

No. We aren't a bunch of hypocrites.
Atheists tend to be morally superior to Christians and other theists because they tend to think about the basis for their morality. Religion tends to make Christians and other theists morally lazy. They are told what to think is good and bad, but not why. In many conversations with Christians and other theists, when you ask them why they think something is right or wrong, they can't get past, "God said so". If you ask an atheist the same thing, you'll usually find he has thought about the personal and social implications of doing something, and what exception there may be to the rule.
Note, I did say "tend to" because I've met some ignorant atheists and some Christians that actually have thought about some issues. However, the trend is the other way.
Also, I don't "B*TCH" about Christians and others promoting their point of view in forums like this one, where it is appropriate. It does annoy me when they try to push their views in inappropriate places.
As for how I am sure there are no gods, read my other posts. You're asking many varied questions in this one. Try breaking out separate issues.

I am a Christian and I do not believe that Atheists make themselves out to be morally superior. Many seem to believe that they are more intelligent or better educated, but most of those I find are not very well educated themselves. I have had many interesting debates and discussions with Atheists and I admit I enjoy most of them. Do not take the actions of a few small minded people that act in that manner as speaking for all. I read many posts on this forum that make me wonder about Christians too. And I am one.

I think to be a hypocrite you have to claim to have beliefs and virtues that you do not. I'm not sure how this applies to atheists? While I have seen a good deal of attempted intellectual 'one-up-manship' I don't think I've noticed much moral point scoring (until your question, at least!)
And as for evangelising, surely people are just asking and answering questions? You don't have to read them, you can dismiss what you read, or you can chose as I have done to answer.
Sure, sometimes people on both sides get carried away with things. But that's part of Y!A. Since it only exists in cyberspace people feel free to be a bit more provocative at times. But you don't have to rise to the bait.
The fact that I have read and answered your question doesn't mean you are evangelising does it? Similarly my sharing my opinion with you. Which, incidentally, is that you are making a sweeping generalisation about atheists in the same way that children of the book seem to claim atheists do about them!

I could probably sit in a church one sunday and anticipate that at least 75% of that congregation are hypocritical to the 'faith' that they believe in.
I am superior to them, I have morals.
Not all non believers have morals but the percentage would be higher than the churchgoers I can guarantee it.
Mainly because non believers have no god to absolve the daily wrongdoings they generally make sure they try to do no wrong.
And hopefully convert believers back into reality one day as well.
Its not hypocrisy.

We do not know that there is no god but it is are view that there is not one!
How do you know there is a god and you are praying to the right one?
I am a atheist, as I do not believe due to science that the bible is in any way right and that god does not exist, this is my honest view and does not make me a hypocrite or Superior in any way, if anything you are more superior having so much faith in something that can be proved.

An atheist can be morally superior to a Christian or any theist. Some theists act pretty bad, you know. Consider these statistics: http://holysmoke.org/icr-pri.htm
The link will show you statistics on the religions of prisoners. Protestant - 35%, Atheist - .2%

Other way round most of the christians I meet are so self righteous, they always look their noses down on others who don't agree with them. I've been told i'm going to hell for not beleiving in God how self-righteous is that! I've never even said a bad word to a christian simply because it's none of my buisness what they think so they should have the same attitude to others instead of trying to convert everybody and make everyone feel bad because we live such 'sinful' lives!
