Xians are very crude, ignorant, brainwashed and hateful, just like the originals.

I think, perhaps, 'fighting fire with fire' (RE: your comment on arrogance) isn't the solution, my friend.
I have noticed that most of the answers given on Y!A in the Religion & Spirituality forum are from children and young teenagers (even if they claim to be older than they are). Often, whether they are Christian, Atheist or whatever, they will not listen to criticism and behave exactly as you would expect a child to behave: childishly. If that behaviour was attributed to adults, it would be considered arrogance. You can not attribute adult behaviour to children.
It works both ways. Some 'Christians' are arrogant, some 'Atheists' are arrogant. One Christian here (clearly more adult than most on Y!A) apologised for all the other 'Christians'. That was very noble and admirable, as it demonstrates exactly what Christianity is about. It is the childish Christians who aggitate the childish Atheists, who then retaliate. I am not implying 'Christians started it', I don't know who struck first but one thing is certain: the permeation of this childish attitude is done by children and it must stop.
Atheists are logical people, so are Christians. We believe different things because we have witnessed different types of evidence. I would not expect to 'convert' a Christian, and I wouldn't want to. I would, however, engage in intellegent conversation with a Christian about their (and my) beliefs.
To the person who asked this question, perhaps you have experienced all that Christianity has to offer first hand, but that does not give you the right to call Christians ignorant. If they chose not to research the same things as you, it is no different from you chosing not to try to experience Jesus personally in the same way they do.
And I am well aware that Atheists have explanations for the spiritual experiences felt by believers, but what right to Atheists have to dismiss them and be condescending? Do you not wish you could feel inner-peace in the same way Christians do? They are the lucky ones!

*They are told by preachers that if a person leaves Christianity they never were Christians to begin with. I was a Christian preacher for 25 years but people who are just barely older than the years I spent in Christianity tell me that if I was a Christian i never would have left. MALARKY!!!!!!!
They like to judge, but then say they do not judge. I get really ticked at the people who claim I did not follow christ but followed a religion. That is pure nonesense and is not taugh in the bible. I followed the bible and they don't even know what it says, much less follow it.
soryy it just ticks me off to be judged lik that and I know they do so because to admit I was a christian for some reason would cause them to doubt their own faith.*

The phrase "don't judge a book by it's cover" springs to mind.
Man kind in general is crude hateful arrogant etc. these are traits of everyone not just christians. Jesus came to earth and died to free us from our sins. That doesnt mean to say that christians are by default perfect, far from it. It means that god loves even those who sin, and is willing to forgive them if they accept jesus.
People including christians will continue to do the things you mentioned because people are not perfect, and life is a learning curve.
I agree that these things are not the right way of doing things, and can only appologgise on behalf of the people you have encountered who were like that.

Because there are Christians out there who are hypocritical, they feel it's ok to attack others but yet preach God's word to others. The bible says we are no one to judge.
The same way you judge others, will be the same way you will be judged.
I very much dislike OVERLY religious people.
But don't let people take you away from going to church, you will find idiots everywhere you go.
I know it sounds hard, and it is -- i went to many church until I found the one I go to now -- but you can't let people get to you.
ALSO to the poster below me....I have NEVER heard anyone say that if you turn from God, you were nver Christian to begin with. Whoever talks like is a complete idiot.
According to what I have been taught, God never leaves, He's ALWAYS there waiting for us to go back to him. I guess it all depends on what church you go to and how "religious" and "extreme" they are.

I can see that the hatred in you would keep you from getting closer to God, no matter what religion you chose. That is sad, I really feel sorry for you.
You make a wrong assumption, we don't think atheists or anyone else knows nothing about Christianity, that's plain ignorant. We know that a lot of you are angry at some injustice against you from either the church or someone within it. I wish there was something we could to make you feel better, but there isn't, I guess we'll have to leave you in God's hands :)

Because don't you know? "No True Christian" would have ever left Christianity. That's what they always say, it's the same old argument. They do not want to face up to the fact that there are such things as EX-Christians.

What is arrogant is your generalization of christians.
I attack the religious juggernaut that is christianity whenever I see the traditions and rituals of men replace the purity of the gospel.
I attack those who would oppress rather than set free the souls of folks.
Attack as in shedding some light and not blood... by the way. ;-)

Its God will they no longer be a christian? I see your one of those who went to church to be a part of a congregation instead of Learning about the almighty God. As far as research, from your description of what christianity is, you havent done that yourself. Study the scripture for yourself thoroughly, then come back to me and say what you want to say. Either way it doesnt change anything, Christ still reigns supreme.
