See a doctor and get treated after proper diagnosis. The questions that will need to be answered are:
1. Which part of the head hurts?
2. For how long has it been hurting, and how often? How long does each episode last?
3. Do you have assosiated symptoms (vomiting, nausea, dizziness, blurring of vision)?
4. Associated problems - toothache, sinusitis, frequent nasal cold, etc.
5. Symptoms related to depression.

Common causes of headache are as follows:
1. Due to refractory error (poor vision). Get your eyes checked.
2. Tension headache - the whole head hurts- there are many ways of treating this.
3. Migrane - this has specific migrane-related treatments and you also have to avoid certain foodstuff.
4. Headache due to sinusitis or dental infection - these too need to get checked out.

Headache related to actual problem inside the brain (tumor, etc) is the least common type. You should think of it only after all the previously mentioned problems have been evaluated and taken care of.

Best luck.

They can have many causes and there are many ayurvedic remedies.

Home Remedies :

* Apply a paste of freshly ground clay or freshly ground sandalwood to the forehead, let dry, rub off by hand and wash.
* When not suffering from a cold, drink a teaspoon of honey in a glass of warm water or fill the stomach completely with water.
* Massage forehead, temples, neck and shoulder muscles, making sure to use a little oil to prevent chafing and burning (see also Ayurvedic Massage)
* If before sunrise or after sunset and the stomach is empty, do a head stand. This increases blood flow in the head and stops most forms of headache.

depends on the cause and frequency of ur headache.

and may be u need to see the ophthalmologist to check ur eye sight.some problem with that can cause head ache.or it cud be a simple cause lik e too many hours at the PC...?

anyway if it is just a mild headache try some simple home remedy.

if not u must see ur doc and find out wht is causing it.
