I haven't had a baby or anything, I just gained a bunch of weight in the last 4 years, and a lot of it is in my belly. Is there any excercises I could do or foods I can eat, anything to help me loose the tummy?

Most important: Get rid of Stress (Anything that bothers you)
Stress causes fat to gather in certain areas of the body.

Cut on sugary stuff.

Walk or Run.

Stop eating late at night.

Do not stay up late, get enough sleep.

Do not try any of those crazy ab toning execises, I tried them and instead of losing weight I got hurt and I could barely walk for over a month and had to go see a doctor. Right now your main goal is to get rid of the fat, start walking fast and gradually start running. If you don't feel comfortable running outside, you can do it in the house, you don't have to run fast, just run slow so you don't get tired fast.

From personal experience I can tell you for a fact that the only way to lose belly fat is by cardio exercise!!! There is no secret foods or exercises that will speed belly fat loss! Belly fat is the hardest to lose!!! If you can exercise at least 20 min a day, even just a nice power walk to where you raise your heart rate and eat sensible, you will start to lose the weight. Eating right is essential. Obviously, cutting out any fast foods and high fat foods will help tremendously. I have started to substitute ground turkey for ground beef, even for hamburgers that I make at home and they are delicious. I spice them up really good. I use turkey bacon instead of reg. bacon and use egg beaters instead of real eggs. I bake chicken alot and always serve veggies with all my meals. Eating at least 5-6 meals per day is important!!! Small meals. Breakfast then a small snack about 3 hours later (like an orange or a cereal bar like Special K), lunch (example: tuna fish and a banana), small snack, dinner (grilled chicken, brown rice and salad) and a small snack in the evening.Cut out sodas and drink more water or have a diet soda if you need to drink a soda.
Doing stomache crunches will not make your stomache flatter, so please do not listen when people tell you to do only crunches!!! All you are doing is building muscle under the fat on your belly. You can incorporate crunches into your exercise routine, but I would wait until you start seeing a result in your weight loss and then work on your stomache muscles. Cardio is the ONLY way to get rid of it. walking, jogging, step aerobics, etc will help you on your way to success!!!! And of course watch what you eat and watch your portions too. Also, please do not focus too much on the scale to gauge your weight loss. The scale can be very deceptive! Instead, focus on how your clothes fit and how you feel overall!!!
Much luck to you!

Hi Jenna im Joan.I too have a problem with belly fat but i have a method that seems to be helping me loose the fat gradually.First of all, refrain from starvation.Eat!!eat!eat!have about 6 meals a day but make them light and balanced. For Example:you can have a banana for lunch,3hrs later have some youghut,3hrs later have a salad...and so on.Make sure your tummy isnt empty, this way it wont store for future use.You can make the snacks and meals as healthy interesting as you wish just ensure its not too fatty and high on fibre.Exercise together with this diet is a sure winner, try it i know it will work!!!!!!!!!

Umm sorry to tell u this. There are no exercise that could lose the fats in a specified parts of the body. When u exercise, u lose fats evenly from every part of ur body.So the more u exercise, the more weight u can shed and eat less. I once read a website saying that it is best if u exercise b4 u eat breakfast as it is the time where the body dun ahve any carbohydrates to burn so it burns fats instead :P
