I'm seeing more inflammatory statements here everyday, and I'm guilty of the occasional rude remark also.
What I'm wondering is how honest you're going to be in answering this question, if indeed you choose to answer it at all.
No, I wouldn't want my mother to read everything I've written, although most of it is acceptable.

To the girl with no ID...as a mother myself, we hope that we have raised our children to be decent, respectable adults. It's an insult to the amount of effort put in to rearung a child when they cop bad attitudes and trash talk everyone and everything, simply because they can.

No I wouldn't- I'd get a slap round the ear for my bad language and told to grow up, which would be embarassing given that I'm in my forties.

I'd love it if my mother would read it, but she passed over 13 years ago. Still, she was the most open-minded and non-judgmental person that I've ever met---and I was raised with her shining example of how to be kind to others. She would be pleased that I have tried to follow in her footsteps. She would be proud that I am firm in my beliefs yet respectful of other beliefs. Plus, she never got to see the internet and I think she would have loved the opportunity to meet so many different people!

That would be wonderful. My Mother had a refined and wickedly dry sense of humour and if She were to be reading my Q&A contributions then it would be affirmation that the Spirit outlives the body or conversely she would still be amongst the living and in a sentient state of mind. Oh how great my delight would be in either senareo. A very warming thought indeed, many thanks for providing this moment.

Yes I would let my mother read this. Heck I have read some of it to her. My mother and I have a very open friendship. I send more time with her than I do my best friends. Thing is mom says she has learned more from me than she did before I grew up. She tells me that I opened her eyes to facts that she never knew. I explain things to her and help her out. She is Christian and I am Wiccan. She is straight and I am not and she still loves me just as any mother would and should love her kid. So yes My mother can read anything I write and is more than welcome to ask me any thing she likes.

Yep, in fact the stuff from so called christians that really makes me laugh I forward to her. She has seen what I write here - it's no different to what I would say to anyone in RL if faced with the same questions. We share the same beliefs. Why does everyone assume that mothers are so perfect and pure and innocent that they would fall down dead if faced with rudeness from their children, or anything else? People always say would you kiss your mother with that mouth when you're swearing, right? Well, I swear to her face and then kiss her.

My mother would be proud. Perhaps you should read some of what I have written.
Red Queen, read my answer to "Why do atheists, evolutionists, free-thinkers even bother trying to explain logic to religious people?". That is my favourite answer so far I think.

I'm 41 not 10. She can read it if she wants.
I doubt my mother would want to. She knows my views and really doesn't want to discuss them. She isn't they type that wants challenged on her beliefs and what I write does exactly that. They have really made it a point not to ask.

I try to not write anything that I'd be embarassed about later. More often then not, I succeed. There are maybe one or two posts I wouldn't want my mom to read, but mostly I have ones that I wouldn't mind.
Makes you think, doesn't it?

If my mother were alive I would be happy to have her read any of what I've written. I am able to answer the questions I am able to answer thanks, in part, to the way I was raised.

My mother knows how I feel about religion. And she knows I don't pansy foot around the topic. I wouldn't mind her reading what's on here.
