i read youtr answer but i am student of anthropoligy and religion.
frist u say that BIBLE also told that brother it is not good becouse Muslim belive that bible was changed then how could u say that its mansion in the bible.
my reseach told that there is no evidence that pig is in arabia.and i am also read lots of muslim writer they give only few reason but that is no right.
i think when romen and iran fight with each othere then MUHAMMAD (PB) was side of Romens and Iran sold meet of swine and muslim against IRAN.then Muhammad told thAT PIG IS PROHIBITED.

because Mohammed first tried to sell his new religion to the Jews of Arabia. As a result, he co-opted many of the Jewish Laws and customs. Among them was the prohibition against eating pig.

I know the true story
Once mohamed was doing a miracle for the people. The miracle was bringing water out of the ground when he hits the ground by his stick.
It happened.
The water came out of the ground.
Meanwhile, a pig came and dug into the ground, and there they found a pot that mohamed has put and water was coming out of it.
So he didn't let islam eat pigs anymore.

pig is prohibited by order of Allah not by Holy Prophet(pbuh).pig is dirty animal,so what ever other religion say or do,we dont have concern with tht.it is prohibited so it is:).
