Instant milk is fat free. That's why it's lower in calories than regular milk. It should be comparable to skim milk in terms of calories (I don't have a container of each here to compare).

If you enjoy the taste, then by all means continue to use it as you would any milk in a healthy diet. If the brand you're buying is free from preservatives and such, there's no reason to suspect it's any different for your health than normal skim.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with drinking powdered milk. It has less calories because, although all the nutrients are there, much of the fat has been removed. That you feel it tastes good and rich is a matter of opinion. Many people say they don't care for it, but you should let your own personal tastes be your guide.

Anything artificial cannot replace the original one. However these days you cannot get cow's or buffalo milk and you have to necessarly consume either pasturised milk or powder milk. Since the milk you are taking is good and you like the taste of it and it has less calories therefore nothing wrong in consuming it and it is certainly not bad for health provided the perservatives that the firm has used in the powder is safe for consumption.
