If he is able to jump and is eating normally, he sounds ok.
MAKE SURE HE IS ABLE TO PERFORM REGULAR BOWEL MOVEMENTS over the next few days.
If he seems constipated or leaves no trace of having gone to the bathroom at all, take him to the vet. If he has diahrea, you may want to give it a day to clear up or take him to the vet.
If there is ANY blood in his stool, take him to the vet.
I have a feeling that, if he is jumping on you for attention, he is probably alright. Cats are pretty resiliant.

He sounds ok...my stepdad accidentally trod on his kitten last weekend (had a power cut got out of bed in the night and cat was by the side of it where he hasnt been before) and he went all quiet and sat and did nothing and his spleen came away from his stomach or something so they had him operated on...the vet is pleased with his progress because 1) he is purring and 2) he is eating. yours is doing both these so I am sure it is ok. He would show it if he wasnt very well.
PS you are not a bad owner, just human and we all do things we dont mean sometimes.

Sorry to hear that happened you aren't a bad person accidents happen I would call the vet and explain the situation hopefully nothing has happened but to be on the safe side I would at least call the vet and tell them what happened and if something did happen then I hope all turns out ok for you
Take care

He's probably fine. He was probably a little dazed, and scared that you did it deliberately. Once he gets over that he should be back to his normal self. Just watch that he is eating and using the bathroom okay, and keep showing that you love him. If you see any abnormal signs take him to the vet.
Cats are really tough creatures, there are plenty of stories as to how they fall from great heights and survive. The chances are excellent that your cat will be completely unharmed.
Next time you get in a bad mood scream into a pillow rather than slamming doors!

he may just have bruising, painful but not fatal. If he had internal bleeding he would be a lot less active. Cat's do have personalities and do often bare grudges for a while, so he may just be upset with you, even though you've done nothing wrong. My cat wouldn't go near me for ages after he electrocuted himself on the electric fence and he thought I'd done it lol. See how he is tomorrow, if he shows any signs of getting worse do just pop him into the vet, but it sounds like he's fine. Just give him some space and make a fuss of him later, he'll forgive you.

He should be ok if his spirits are picking back up. Keep an eye on him, make sure he does not limp or act funny. If he keeps it up, you should be fine. Just call it lesson learned. Pets love to follow you around, especially when they are young. And animals have a very keen way of knowing you are upset and want to make it better. If you are in a bad mood, there is a good chance your kitten/cat will try to come cheer you up. Be careful.

If the kitten is jumping up and is eating then it is most likely ok and doesn't need a vet but keep an eye on it's stool and make sure no blood is passed to make sure. Good luck

cats are pretty resilant they bounce back from accidents which do happen occsionally like that most of the time i step on their tails or paw accidentally when they calm grab him or her and pet and stroke the area around where you think the injury is if they don't react more than likely they are ok anybody who says you are a bad cot owner is mistaken accidents like that happen all the time

Wait a while and see how he does before deciding to take him in. If he starts acting hurt or sick then take him. I dont think you are a bad owner just an accident happened.

Our vet exhibits correcting undesirable habit with squirts of water to the face and slamming a e book on the comparable time. The sound will startle him and the water/face blend is many times unsightly. Neither will harm your cat and he might desire to not even associate the water/sound to you. ideally he will think of that it comes from leaping on the counters and not from mommy.
