If you are borrowing a car for a weekend or temporarily, yes. But the person's whos car it is has to phone up their insur company and ask them to put you on for the days you'll be using it.

yeah u can get a quote for the car for a year

pay the initial deposit

u will have 14days to cancel if u are not satisfied with ur policy and the company will return ur initial payment

so u will have had insurance for 2 days without paying for it :)

There are no car insurance companies in the U.K. who will offer any policy to run for less than 28 days.
