olivia my grandaughter i have brought up since six months, her mum hardly ever visits, last couple of years she been playing up at school, she is nine and been excluded, and went to new centre first time tuesday and shouted at said i am not going back their its boring, now i have been at home 2 months waiting for her to get some schooling, i am getting really depressed stuck at home all the time, i want a job or something to do fed up no one to talk to and feel lonely alot. angry at her as well, her mum don,t care less

If nine year old could get out of going to school just because they find it boring, schooling would end with 4th grade. You and Olivia should probably both get into some counseling. She may have issues because of her parents, and you desperately need parenting classes. I suspect you've had parenting issues long before Olivia ever came along. You've got to learn the difference between being manipulated and being a good parent. You also need to learn how to make free time for yourself.

while i'm sure you love your granddaughter very much it must be a burden on you, after all you've done all this before. Understand that she might feel rejected by her mother and take that out on you. Try and reassure her that it isnt her fault and don't talk bad about your daughter to her. Is there a father? I was raised by my grandparent also and while I was a horrible child when I grew up I understood the sacrifice they made to help me and I have so much respect for them now. Take comfort in the knowledge that you are the one that can shape her future and do the best you can for the poor lil mite
