You are a size 12/14 and depressed??? - WHY???
You have curves in the right places - you are only the way you see yourself in your own eyes - it is a fact that most women when tested on computer simulations (showing three different body masses, including their own) picked out the fattest - not their actual!
Personally, I do not think you have anything to worry about and I'll bet you actually look really good! Contrary to popular belief, most men prefer women to be in the size range 12/14!
If it is really of that much a concern to you, consider another fact - you are exercising and losing weight - but, you are also toning muscle - muscle bulk can give the appearance of no weight loss. Your exercise is basically good but may be you are doing too much and the result is not what you expect because you are burning fat and replacing with muscle! Everyone loses weight at a different rate - you are no different!

You need to get some perspective. 18 pounds is not that much. It sounds like you have a good workout routine, but if you've only been doing it for 3½ weeks you need to modify your expectations. Remember you have to burn an extra 3500 calories for every pound of fat you want to lose. You would be doing very well to lose 2-3 pounds a week. Rather than focusing on the 18 pounds, focus on the next 5 pounds. Also keep in mind that February 28 is still almost 4 weeks off so you still have plenty of time.
By the way, you might want to reevaluate what you're eating. A few years ago I started a daily workout routine and was very disheartened when I had only lost 1-2 pounds after a couple weeks. Turns out I was eating more so those extra calories I was burning were just the extra food and not the fat I wanted to lose.

Hi, my best friend is feeling the exact same way as u at the min. I think a size 14 is a nice healthy size, don't hate yourself, there is far far fatter women in this world. I am a size 16 and 30 years old and I have been on more diets than enough and can't seem to loose any more weight, I used to be a size 20. Just be thankful you have your health, I know its easy to get depressed about it like my best friend but seriously don't compare yourself to your friends, most of mine are size 10/12 but everybody in this world is different. Anyway, you are probably far prettier than your friends. Just learn to love yourself for who you are. xxx.

If you increase your exercise you will burn fat but increase your muscle, and muscle weighs twice as much as fat. This is probably why you are not shifting the weight. You may also be at your body's own "healthy weight" even though you feel you are overweight. I couldn't get below 12.5st when I was dieting even though I had increased my exercise and was eating very healthily. It all depends on your body shape (i.e., are you quite broad or 'big' all over?). If you relax a bit you may find that the weight starts coming off.

I can understand why you are upset and feel the way you do but some people take longer to loose weight than others. My sister lost 40 kg´s and she was on a strict diet and did a lot of water aerobics. She used to drink a glass of water with a cap full of apple vinegar in with every meal... She swears by it...
Maybe that helps for you, good luck and go and enjoy the holiday....

Get over yourself.
its very annoying hearing size 8 10 12 14 people moan about their weight. size 14 is not fat its the perfect size. You have body image issues and you should go to the doctor.
Who cares if they are a size 6 8 10 12 if they are your friends they should love you for who you are.
They should not put pressure on. Are you sure they are your friends??

YOUR PROBABLY NOT LOSING WEIGHT COS YOUR DOING A LOT OF EXERCISE WITH WEIGHTS. MUSCLE IS HEAVIER THAN FAT SO AS YOU TRAIN AND DEVELOP MUSCLE YOU GET HEAVIER. YOU'VE PROBABLY LOST A LOT OF FAT BUT YOUR WEIGHT IS STAYING UP DUE TO BUILDING MUSCLE(AS I SAID ITS HEAVIER). FROM NOW TIL HOLIDAY STICK TO CV EXERCISE eg CYCLING LOW RESISTANCE BUT QUICK, LONG SLOW JOGS. BASICALLY THINGS THAT MAKE YOU SWEAT. CUT OUT ALL THE WEIGHTS AND YOUR SIZE AND WEIGHT WILL DECREASE QUICKER. ALSO DIET HAS TO BE REALLY STRICT. CUT OUT CARBS eg BREAD PASTA, RICE etc. EAT PLENTY FRUIT AND DRINK PLENTY WATER AND EAT REGULARLY EVERY 4 HOURS IN SMALL PORTIONS. HOPE THIS HELPS. IT SHOULD

Go to your doctor it could be that your diet isnt working for your metobolism. do NOT take diet pills they can make it worse and I hope you know that once you start a die you basically have to stay on it right? i dont think alot of people realise this, but once you start taking in a different food plan after your diet you start to gain weight again.

I love food but always force myself to diet after Christmas. By eliminating anything sweet, I find that the desire for sugar abates within two days and the poached fish, broccoli and carrots are quite appealing.
