Dear friend, Take my advise!! Go to a qualified dental surgeon. NOT A DENTIST!! In case of minor or major surgery, a dental surgeon is most qualified and trained for it!! Do not be afraid of surgery because they are so skilful and--- you will not feel any pain if your tooth needs to be extracted.Tell him nicely that you have no money right now BUT WILL PAY HIM LATER . Give your contact number and address and promise him that you will pay.In fact, give the name of your closed friend or relative as a guarantor. Most dentists and dental surgeons are actually nice people and are willing to help you as long as you are honest and sincere. Be responsible as soon as you get the money. PAY HIM!!! Home remedies this time will not work because the remaining root of the tooth is infected and need to be extracted out. Or an X-ray is needed to see how bad is the tooth infection. Go now and phone a dental surgeon for an appointment and tell him exactly your financial problem. Who knows he might help you out!! BEST OF LUCK!!

If it broke off 4 years ago, then you would have gone to the dentist before now. There is no home remedy that will fix this.

Only as a stop gap - bees wax from honey is a temporary sealant.

Most cities have a place where those without the ability to pay can go to get teeth pulled (they rarely do anything else). Check in the state/city government programs.

do you have the broken tooth intact i mean the root part;one which is in your gum?
is your mouth smelling weird?is there any bleeding from the tooth? in such cases; I strongly recommend go to a dentist.
if not apply Clove oil on the affected tooth .dip Cotton swab in clove oil;if oil not available then put a whole clove clentch under the tooth.
when pain subsides ;mix a pinch of turmeric powder,salt,olive/mustard oil.make paste .gently massage this mixture on your teeth with your index finger in small circular motion for 1 min.keep it there for 2min. and rinse with luke warm/plain water.
this should do good.
Take care.Do tell me if it works Buddy!

i no how you feel,i suffered for over a year with a tooth that broke off ,i never went to the dentist and to this day it still plays me up but i found (and this may sound daft) but put a ice pack or ice cubes on the outer side of your mouth..NOT THE TOOTH ITSELF! it slowly numbs it.other than that just pain killers, whiskey also works if you put it on the tooth neat

See DENTIST ASAP!

Toothaches are a sign that there may be more to worry about then just a little pain. The causes of toothache are several but the major causes are, dental cavity, a cracked tooth, exposed tooth root, gum disease, disease of the jaw joint or spasms of the muscles used for chewing. It is possible for the cause of a toothache to originate from an entirely different problem such as heart attack or angina but this is quite rare. It can be noted however that some patients suffering angina will show toothache or jaw pain as the only symptoms so it is always best to let your dentist or doctor evaluate you.

a string and a door knob will work wonders. It's how I pluck my eyebrows but it should work for a tooth as well

You should go to a dentist. If it is infected you could get sick. They can probably do the work and then bill you. I would not let it go another day.
