my new lcd tv, has the same problem as my old crt. when showing some progs the extreme right hand side of the screen, where there is the black perimiter, flickers and moves about. changed pic option from auto to cinema. this improves it a little. doesnt show on every station. eg films are perfect. any help please.

Must Agree With Billy here this is due to magnetic Interference from an ac motor or other appliance close to the right hand side of the set.
This does not need to be in the same room. It can affect the set even through a wall so check other rooms etc.

Make sure it is not near any type of a/c motor the may come on randomly.

Sounds like it may be either your digital receiver if you are using one or the cables you are using.
See what happens when you put in a DVD or some other source with its own cable.
