i come home and find my cousin smoking weed and blowing it right at my two cats. at first i was frightened but then they really just looked comfortable and i had to wonder. i kicked her out and it's been 3 days and nothing seems out of the ordinary. they seem sober. wonder if they' ll be ok. should i let her move back in?

Popeye -- that's gross. you should chill.

Seattle--- sounds like you don't want people who smoke to have cats. hmm...
also the cats didn't eat any pot (or do any coke for that matter) but thanks anyway for that informative link.

yes your cat will be fine it's not good for her but it won't kill them but if they eat pot it will give them the poops and they may never be quite the same as they were before

Many years ago my brother brought some seeds back from israel which we planted. They turned out to be pot, but as none of us smoked at all, we didn't have much use for it. Our cat however did like to eat it from time to time. It didn't seem to do her any harm, she didn't miss it when we got rid of the plants and she lived to a ripe old age.

Injesting the marijuana leaves is extremely lethal for cats as the THC is the toxic substance in question. http://www.petplace.com/cats/illicit-drug-exposure-in-cats/page1.aspx

[edit] smokers are entitled to have pet animals just as much as any non-smoker, however second-hand smoke affects pets and humans the same way. Therefore anyone who smokes anything ideally should do this away from their pets to minimize the risks.

the cat will be just fine - pot smoke will not hurt them in that quantity - the lethal dose for a cat would be about 4 lb dropped on its head from 30ft up - let the silly girl back in but ask her to respect your home a bit :)

I think the kitties will be ok. But I think you did the right thing kicking your cousin out, and not just for the sake of the kitties health.

pot won't kill your cat it will just make them either really lazy or really hyper depending on the cat. I had a friend who's cat would eat her pot plants daily, she liked more than catnip!!!

i dont think you should let that retard anywhere near your house unless you dip her hands in battery acid and see how she likes to be traumatised

they should be ok but you might want to take them for a check up at the vet to be sure (make your cousin pay for it of course)

hope this helps dude
