umm.. do you think my UTI came back, since yesterday i had lower back pain (where the kidneys would be) but also neck, legs, arms, shoulder pain also. Is all this pain dealing with me possible of being pregnant? or is it my UTI that came back?

also when i go to the bathroom my pee is pretty funky.. as in the smell.. but its kinda always been like that when i had my UTI and afterwards also... idk if this info helps in any way

any advice would do me good, thanks

I have had UTIs for 25 years, and have been to 3 urologists....and sounds like yes, your infection is back, and if it hurts in your back, then it is no longer a UTI and now a Kidney infection. Did you finish all your antibiotics? Did they recheck your urine after you finished the medication (they should always do that) Since it is in your back and kidneys now, go to the doc!!! Especially if you start running a fever and have nausea. You could also have trace amounts of blood that you aren't seeing. The strong pungent smell is a definite indicator!! It's horrible!! Just go do a urine check, it'll be worth the time. They also sell over the counter UTI test strips, although a lot of times it can show an increase in leukocytes (white blood cells) that are just from the vaginal surface. But it will indicate nitrites and blood also. Call your doc!!!! and get your meds!!!
Hoep you feel better, and drink tons of water!

Your body is most likely to get more uti's when you are pregnant, because of the babys developement and having to use the restroom so much. Call your doctor and they will most likely call you out macrobid, this is an antibiotic that is used especially for uti's in pregnant women and they will also give you a pill that numbs your ut. It does turn your urine bright orange but it is much safer than the over the counter medicine. I would definately not take the uristat my doctor informed me it was not the safest medicine while pregnant. Once you do get the medicine the numming pill kicks in right away until then srink lots f water or any juice with cranberries in it. I definately would not mess around with these in some cases they can get really bad and could lead toother infections which could possibly lead to very early labor.

The fact that you have UTI's and are sexually "active" are linked. You must expel your bladder contents prior to sex and immediately afterwards. i would highly recommend that you start taking cranberry suppliments, you can buy them in the vitamin isle. They helped me tremendously with my reoccuring uti's, I have not had one in over a year now, (knock on wood!). As far as being pregnant, they also could cause you to miss your period, so y ou may want to take a ept just in case, and go to the doc to get meds if uti. Take care of yourself! UTI's can be very dangerous.

I've struggled with UTI's for years, and it sounds to me like it's back. I would make a dr.'s appt so you can get started on antibiotics. If you do happen to miss a period though, I would take a pregnancy test, just in case since you are sexually active.

Good luck!

sounds like the uti is back, drink loads of water or cranberry juice, both are suppose to help clear the bladder out.
