No you idiot - it is the pollution that man is pushing into the atmosphere at an alarming rate, yes there has been increases in carbon in the past before man but these were natural disasters that killed the dinosaurs etc. like asteroid impact and super volcano's, something we can not do anything about, but we can reduce are carbon foot print just by changing are life styles a little.

Turn heating down 1 degree
Recycle
Fit energy light bulbs
Turn off the TV (do not leave on standby)
Walk instead off use the care if you can
Take public transport

These are small things that everybody can do and will make a difference.

No! the atmosphere is actually heavily polluted right now!
A group of gases which include carbon dioxide are referred to as green house gases. CO2 as it is called actually has the ability to trap heat from the sun and let it have an effect on the earth's atmosphere and subsequently our weather. Emissions from our daily activities including travel, energy consumption etc have increased the atmospheric CO2 levels to higher than its ever been , hence more heat and warming.

Also emissions release chloride radicals which are destroying the ozone layer.
Ozone is a special kind of oxygen O3 in contrast to O2 which we breath. O2 is 21% of atmospheric air and can be found everywhere but the only place ozone occurs naturally is in the ozone layer which usually serves to protect us from UV rays of the sun. the destruction of this layer means that more harmful rays are coming through.

It's a natural occurrence, but the a major factor in speeding up the process is the burning of fossil fuels, but don't worry.
