As someone has said, a constant supply of food is what they need. Why do you think you have to ask this? Are you really meaning how often do you need to fill the seed hopper? Probably about 2/3 times a week if that was what you wanted to know. It will of course depend on the size of the hopper.

I'll echo the advice that it needs a constant supply of food. Birds are not accustomed to meal feeding and will forage when they're hungry, so taking food away during the day between lunch and dinner could cause starvation and crankiness. You can, however, do meal feeding besides what's already in the cage. You could build a routine of healthy, fresh foods for additional lunch and dinner supplements.

A good budgie daily diet is composed of about 80% pellets, 10% seeds, and 10% fresh foods, which means you should be providing fresh foods (fruits, veggies, pastas, grains) everyday, but make sure they're in the cage no longer than two hours or they'll spoil and could make your bird sick.

EDIT: Grit is most definitely NOT required for parrots. Hook bills do not need that crap in their crops to aid them in digesting food, especially given the fortified diets we are feeding them. Other birds, such as chickens, do require grit because their systems are built differently and they have different dietary needs as well as belonging in a different avian group. Psittacines do NOT need grit, and it does more harm than it does help. Grit has been linked to health issues in parrots.

Our budgie has two clip-on feeders in his cage.
Every morning we remove them and use a drinking straw to blow off the empty seed husks.
When the level gets low, I empty the seed into a dish, almost fill the feeders with fresh seed, and pour the older seed on top.
That way the seed at the bottom of the feeder never goes stale.
Make sure he has a constant supply of seed and water, and give him little treats of fresh fruit and raw veg, but remove them after a few hours so they don't go off

they should be fed with a constant supply of a general budgie food, with the addition of an iodine block as well as some millet which is used as a 'like nature' feeder. if you wish to add spice to the feeding regime you could add some things like cress or brocolli and also spread some seed on the floor as budgies are natural ground feeders and in the wild would flock under millet trees and browse on their food. Grit is also a vital part of their diet and you can improve the health of the digestive system with some prepared charcoal which you should always source from a pet shop. Bugies will also benefit from some egg food mixed in with their daily suppy of food, especially around their moult. A good supplier/ shop will be able to advise you on an egg food suitable or look out for Cede egg food.

Ideally your budgie should have a food cup that is constantly full of a pelleted budgie food. In addition, you should offer fresh fruits and vegetables once or twice a day, and take them away after an hour or two. My birds prefer their veggies first thing in the morning, and again in the late afternoon.

I don't understand this question, surely you have a feeder clipped on to the cage along with a water bottle, they eat when they're hungry. To keep him fit and healthy clip an iodine block to his cage as well as some cuttle fish and the occasional sprig of millet.Change his sandpaper every day.

The brid should have a constant supply of food. They will eat the food as they need it. However don't put in too much at once as it will spill it all over the place and so you will waste money having to replace it.

just take a little food bowl and fill it to the top with parakeet seed, whenever it gets hungry it can just eat it from there. and for a treat, you can give them veggies or fruit, it makes them healthy and happy, but only give them some veggies or fruit once or twice a week.
